Timothy M. Duncan, JD*, AIF®

Managing Principal

Tim is the principal member of DFG. He is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designee and a Registered Investment Adviser with a law degree. Tim has built a practice dedicated to helping individuals and families identify and exceed their personal goals. With his diverse experience in investments, insurance, and law, Tim's unique background enables him to bring clarity and provide effective financial solutions for DFG's clients.

Tim lives in Allendale with his wife, Melissa, and their three children. He has been a coach and a mentor in the community for the past 20 years.

Jason Armenti, JD*, LLM


Jason is a seasoned independent advisor with more than two decades of experience working with high net worth business owners and retirees.  He has a law degree and a master’s degree in taxation.  He uses his background and experience to help clients navigate estate planning pitfalls and provide well-crafted investment strategies, going beyond what he feels are the all too common sales and commission based shortcomings that underserve the investing public.  Attention to detail and staying abreast of ever changing laws and regulations are paramount to delivering a customized plan that works for each client.

When not in the office, he’s on the road seeing clients and driving somewhere between the Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia and Manhattan.  Lots of windshield time drinking Dunkin Donuts coffee and listening to the comedy channel.

Jason grew up in Allentown Pennsylvania and currently resides in Bridgewater NJ with his wife Kimberly and their two children, Jack [age 7] and Sienna [age 10].  Like most busy parents, his weekends are filled with running around with the kids and spending what feels like an eternity at soccer tournaments watching the kids’ games.  When not on the sidelines, Jason can be found coaching Jack’s baseball team and Sienna’s basketball team.

Loren Liverance

Administrative Assistant

Loren joined Duncan Financial Group in 2008.  She brings strong organizational skills to manage the daily operations of the office and a positive attitude in all her interactions with our clients and service teams alike.  In her role as Senior Administrative Assistant, she works closely with Julie and Melissa coordinating cross departmental initiatives, maintaining quality assurance of documents, and creating presentations and special projects.

Loren lives with her husband Dan in Wanaque.  In her spare time, Loren enjoys reading, volunteering, puzzles and spending time with her adorable nieces.

Julie Liverance

Administrative Associate

Julie joined Duncan Financial Group in September 2010 as an administrative associate. In this role, she handles a number of operational duties, from fielding telephone inquiries to researching special projects that are both client and technology related. Prior to joining DFG, Julie worked for three years as a customer service representative for a small family-owned business.

Her family includes her husband, Dave; two children; and a lovely daughter-in-law. In her free time, she is actively engaged in community service and enjoys socializing with friends and family, cooking, playing with her dog, and learning new things.

Melissa Duncan

Administrative Assistant

Melissa joined the Duncan Financial Group team in January of 2019. She works closely with Loren and Julie to help manage the day-to-day operations of the office and to provide exceptional support services to our clients.  In addition, Melissa maintains our calendar, our compliance registrations and administrative recordkeeping. Her business background includes personal and commercial insurance management and underwriting.

Melissa lives in Allendale with her husband, Tim, and has been active as a member of both the Board of Education and the Library Board, and has been an avid fan of everything in which her children have chosen to participate for the past 20 years.
